    KARACHI: Former Pakistani all-rounder Shahid Khan Afridi has said that he was pleased with Pakistan Army for setting itself above all else at stake for responsibility.

    Shahid Afridi took to Twitter saying "Capital punishment and detainment to its senior officers on charges of spying is a troublesome however striking choice. That is the reason our Army is solid."

    Head of Army Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Thursday embraced discipline to two Army and one common officer on the charges of undercover work/spillage of delicate data to outside organizations partiality to the national security.

    Bury Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the military, in an announcement said "The officers were attempted under Pakistan Army Act (PAA) and Official Secret Act by discrete Field General Court Marshal (FGCM) for independent cases."

    Lieutenant General Javed Iqbal (resigned) was granted 14 years thorough detainment, while Brigadier Raja Rizwan (resigned) granted capital punishment, the announcement said.

    While, specialist Wasim Akram (Employed at Sensitive Organization) was granted capital punishment.
